I have been working in television since 1999 and since then have worked on a range of programmes from documentaries to reality shows and live broadcasts. I have worked with medium sized crews with sound recordist and directors as well as working alone as a "director / cameraman" on observational documentaries. I began working as an assistant avid editor before moving into camera work, so feel I have a good understanding of story telling and can get the shots necessary to make life easy in the cut for the editor. I have worked in a variety of environments and know how to look after myself, and the kit in extreme conditions: from the arid heat of Syria and Morocco to the monsoon rains of Malaysia and Brazil to the cold tundra of Alaska. I have extensive experience filming on the water, both on board boats and with tracking shots from a rib. I have shot from helicopters, float planes and a blimp. I love working as a cameraman, the places you visit and the people you meet. I still love travelling, even if it does mean lugging lots of gear about and filling in carnets. I am a British Citizen with a vaild "I" visa for the USA. |
